Ingredients

  • 1 medium ciabatta leaf or 4 thick slices of crusty white bread
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 skinless or boneless chicken breasts for chicken cubes
  • 1 large romaine lettuce, the leaves should be separated properly
  • 1 garlic clove for dressing
  • 2 tin anchovies
  • cheese
  • 5 or 6 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp of white wine vinegar

  1. First, it is the time to season the bread first. It is a little weird adding bread to your salad, but it is the best for enhancing the taste of the salad. At first, you need to make croutons of the bread by using a little bread knife. Spread it over a baking sheet and sprinkle it with 2 tbsp of olive oil. Rub the oil well and add a pinch of salt if you want. It will season the bread. Now heat the oven at 200c and put the bread in it. Bake it for good 10 minutes before they turn all brown.

  2. Now, you have got to season the chicken as well. Rub olive oil on the chicken breasts for proper seasoning session. Place a pan on the oven and heat it for 1 minute only. Then put the chicken in the pan and let it get roasted for 4 minutes. Once a side is done, turn it over to cook the other side. If you want, you can poke a sharp knife into it and check whether it is cooked enough or not!

  3. It is the time of seasoning the veggies. Crush the garlic and smash the anchovies with a large fork if any crusher is not available. Grate a little cheese and season them together well. Do not make the combination too thick. And if it tends to go thicker, add a tsp of water to it. 

  4. Now for the final step, grate the cheese with a peeler and tear the lettuce into a big bowl. Make chicken cubes out of the big chicken breasts and mix it well with the lettuce. Add the croutons of bread to it and stir well. Add all other ingredients on the list to it and toss it up with a spoon. At last, sprinkle a little cheese on the top of this salad platter, and you are done.

Notes

If you like, you can make it with tuna or bacon along with the chicken as well.
