RECIPE OF CHICKEN CURRY

It might be simple and it might not much of your time, but it surely has some steps that you cannot ignore at all costs. Thus, the steps of this infamous dish of chicken curry start with the categorization of the ingredients. Let us have a look.

Ingredients

  • 500g of chicken, bone-in
  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • 1 bay leaf to enhance the taste
  • 4 or 5 cloves according to your taste
  • 2 inch of cinnamon stick
  • 3 or 4 green cardamoms
  • 2 green chillies, sliced perfectly
  • ½ tsp of cumin
  • 3 onion of medium size
  • 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
  • ½ cup of tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp of red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp of garam masalas
  • 2 tbsp of coriander leaves
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • The salt according to your taste

How to make

  1. For the purpose of preparing the dish of chicken curry, you do not need to marinate the chicken at first. All you have to do is to wash the bone-in chicken pieces well and drain it to make it pat-dry. 

  2. Once the chicken is all cleared up, you have to take the pan and heat the oil in it. After noticing the little bubbles in the oil, add all the dry spices as has been mentioned in the ingredients list to it. Let it fry for a minute or two until it spreads an enticing aroma. Add onion and chillies afterwards. Fry them until they turn all golden. 

  3. Now, add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric and salt to it. Stir a little and again add the ginger garlic paste. Stir again until the raw smell of the ginger is all gone. Now, you have to add the chicken, garam masalas and mint leave to smell good. Stir it for 3 good minutes until the meat turns white. 

  4. To make the gravy of this chicken curry dish, boil 1 pot of water separately and add accordingly to it. You can also add curd if you want to thicken the whole gravy to a new level. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for a good 5 to 7 minutes.

  5. At the end of the procedure, add coriander leaves to this gravy, and you are done.

SERVING AND PRESENTATION

The addition of coriander leaves on the top of the chicken curry is enough to make this dish a perfect one. You can serve this chicken curry dish with a plate of rice or roti or paratha easily.

RECIPE NOTE

If you want to make the gravy of this dish thicker, just add a cup of curd to it. However, do not overdo it otherwise it can ruin the taste of this dish.
