Chicken Noodles Recipe

Steps for Marinating the Chicken
- 200g of boneless chicken
- ¼ tsp of pepper powder
- 1/8 tsp of salt or according to your taste
- 1 or 2 tsp of soya sauce
- ½ tsp of five spice or garam masalas
Preparation of Noodles
- 2 packs or 150g of noodles
- 1 tsp of oil or you can avoid using oil as well
- 2 tsp of oil to coat
- Pinch of salt or as needed according to your taste
- 2 tbsp of sesame oil or any other oil according to your preference
- 2 cloves of garlic
- ¼ cup of bell pepper chopped
- ¼ cup of carrots julienne
- ¼ cup of cabbage which is optional
- ¼ cup of chopped green onion
- 2 tbsp of white onions chopped finely
- 2 tbsp of chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp of water
- 1 tbsp of soya sauce
- salt according to your taste
How to make
As much as it is true that chicken noodle does not need any special order to be followed but it is better to follow a schedule to make this dish a perfect one. As it is a chicken noodle, it is better to start off with marinating the chicken. Rub the boneless chicken well with pepper, salt, soya sauce and garam masalas. This will give the chicken the tangy taste that it needs. Once it is done, just cover it with a lid and set aside.
Now, it is the time to boil the noodles. At first, take 2 litres of water in a bowl and add all the noodles to it. It will take a good 10 or 15 minutes to boil the noodles properly. Or you can follow up the boiling instruction that has been written on the back of the noodle pack. After a little time, you need to add 1 tbsp of oil to coat the noodles.
While the noodle is all getting prepared, chop the veggies perfectly and set them aside. By this time, the noodles will be done. Drain all the water with the help of a colander. Remember that you should never overcook the noodles as they tend to get all sticky and mushy.
Now, take a pan and add 1 tbsp of oil. Sprinkle the garlic in it and fry it until the raw smell of garlic is gone. Now, add the marinated chicken to it and sauté them on medium heat slowly. You can add 2 tbsp of water if the pan seems too dry to cook.
Set aside the chicken because it is the time to prepare the veggies. Add another tbsp of oil to the pan and pour the spring onions to it. Once it gets a little golden colour, add all other veggies as listed above. Saute them for 2 minutes.
Once it is done, add another cup of spring onions, boiled noodles, chilli sauce and soya sauce. After a minute, add the chicken as well. Sprinkle a dash of salt and stir them well. And you are done!
SERVING AND PRESENTATION
Put some mint leaves or lettuce on the top of chicken noodles to make it look all perfectly MasterChef –ish. Chicken noodle is a perfect dish in itself. But if you want, you can serve it with a side dish such as chilli chicken or chicken Manchurian.
