Ingredients To Make Mushroom Rice
- 3/4 to 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 1 tablespoon of sesame or olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- Pepper powder, as required
- 1/2 cup bell peppers or capsicum, sliced
- 1 green chilli slit (optional)
- 3/4 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 spring onions or half small onion, sliced
- 3/4 teaspoon soya sauce
- Salt, as required
- Half cup raw rice or 1 cup (240ml) cooked rice
How to make
Wash and soak rice for about 15-20 minutes.
Cook in with water until it is firm to the bite.
Drain off in a colander and set aside.
Now, heat olive or sesame oil in a pan or wok.
Sauté garlic until aromatic on a medium to high flame.
Sauté spring onion or onion slices for a minute or two.
Add thin mushroom slices, capsicum, and slit green chillies. Sauté until all is cooked completely and appear tender.
You may have to cover and cook mushrooms on a low heat as they generally leave out water.
Add soya sauce and allow it to sauté on a medium to high flame.
Add pepper, cooked rice, and spring onion greens. It is also the time to sprinkle salt evenly.
Mix all well and let it fry for about 2-4 minutes.
Serve Mushroom rice hot.
