  • Button Mushroom – 200 – 250 grams
  • Onion – 2 medium sized or 130 – 135 grams
  • Cumin – ½ teaspoon

  1. Clean and chop the mushroom

  2. Wash the mushrooms thoroughly to clean the dirt off it. Use a clean napkin to pat dry the mushrooms in order to remove excess moisture. Trim thin slices from the ends of the stem and cut the mushrooms into halves or quarters depending upon their size. For a good caramelization, medium slices of mushroom are preferable.

  1. Add oil to a thick bottomed pan. Once heated add cumin, add onions once the cumin starts spluttering. Sauté the onions on a low flame for 5 – 6 minutes or until they turn little brown. After all, a good Mushroom Stir Fry needs some good caramelisation on those onions. 

  2. Next add Mushroom to the mix, sauté them on a medium high flame for about 2 minutes.   4. Add coriander leaves on top before serving, serve along with rice or bread.
